Stewarding Supervisor

Set along the sun-kissed west coast of Mauritius, La Pirogue is one of the island’s most iconic resorts, offering authentic Mauritian charm, a vibrant atmosphere, and exceptional guest experiences. We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Stewarding Supervisor to oversee the smooth operation of our stewarding department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and coordinate the stewarding team to ensure all cleaning, sanitation, and dishwashing tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all kitchens, storage areas, and service corridors.
  • Ensure proper handling and care of kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishwashing machines.
  • Monitor chemical usage and cleaning supplies to ensure safety and cost control.
  • Enforce hygiene and safety standards in accordance with HACCP and company guidelines.
  • Support kitchen and F&B operations during busy service periods.
  • Conduct regular inspections and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Train and motivate the stewarding team to maintain high performance and team spirit

PROFILE:

  • Minimum School Certificate or equivalent qualification in Hospitality or related field.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a stewarding or kitchen operations role, including 1–2 years in a supervisory capacity in a hotel or resort environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards (HACCP certification is an advantage).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and a passion for teamwork and service excellence
