Sous Chef - Long Beach
We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join Long Beach Resort as Sous-Chef in charge of our buffet and events.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Involved in the F&B Operations (from purchasing, receiving, storing and product control, to the proper implementation of creative menus, with a strong background in sanitation standards set by the company)
- Ensure that all food items are prepared according to standard recipes and ensure consistency of dishes
- Provide expertise in operating & standardising current and/or new recipes for the outlets
- Monitor adherence to safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Satisfy guests, advise them and immediately handle complaints.
- Ensure good condition of equipment & utensils in the kitchen.
- Conduct training classes for associates to develop their skills/new menus.
PROFILE
- Holder of NC 4 at Hotel School or any equivalent.
- Ability to lead and manage a kitchen brigade
- Good knowledge of food cost
- Must be computer literate
- Display initiative and creativity.
- Excellente communication and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English & French
- Wiling to work on flexible schedule.
