Are you passionate about wine and hospitality? La Pirogue is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sommelier to join our dynamic team. If you have a love for wines and a desire to grow in the world of fine dining, we’d love to hear from you!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Curate, manage, and maintain the wine list in line with the resort’s culinary vision and standards.

    • Provide expert advice to guests on wine pairings, beverages, and menu selections.

    • Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory control of wines and beverages.

    • Train and support the Food & Beverage team on wine knowledge, service standards, and upselling techniques.

    • Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and Food and Beverages Manager to develop wine pairings and special events.

    • Deliver exceptional service while ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and service standards

PROFILE:

    • Certified Sommelier or relevant professional qualification.

    • Proven experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or fine-dining environment.

    • Strong knowledge of international wines, spirits, and current industry trends.

    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

    • Passion for hospitality with a keen eye for detail and quality.

    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
