Linen Controller

Sunlife & Sugar Beach is hiring! 

We are looking for a Linen Controller to join our Housekeeping team at our prestigious 5-star resort. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient control, distribution, collection, and maintenance of all linen, uniforms, and related housekeeping items, ensuring that the resort consistently maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest service.

• Receive, inspect, count, sort, and record all incoming and outgoing linen and uniforms.
• Maintain accurate daily records of linen movements, stock levels, losses, damages, and replacements.
• Issue clean linen and uniforms to Housekeeping and other departments as required.
• Collect and properly sort soiled linen for dispatch to the laundry.
• Monitor linen inventory and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained at all times.
• Conduct regular linen stock counts and report discrepancies to the Housekeeping management.
• Ensure proper storage and organization of linen, towels, uniforms, and other textile items.
• Inspect linen for stains, damage, wear and tear, and ensure unserviceable items are removed from circulation.
• Coordinate closely with other operational departments.
• Preparing uniform Opex and ordering of uniforms.
• Assist with maintaining proper par stock levels and preparing for high-occupancy periods and special events.
• Ensure all linen rooms and storage areas are kept clean, organized, and hygienic.
• Follow all resort standards, health and safety procedures, and operational policies.
• Handle guest and colleague uniforms professionally and confidentially.
• Support the Housekeeping team with other duties as required.
  Profile:
• Previous experience as a Linen Controller or similar role, preferably within a 5-star resort.
• Good knowledge of linen handling, uniform handling, inventory control, and laundry operations.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to accurately maintain stock records and conduct physical inventories.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to handle and move linen bags and stock.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping standards will be an advantage.
