Housekeeping Controller

The Housekeeping Controller is a critical control-point role responsible for safeguarding hotel assets through robust linen control, accurate inventory management, and loss-prevention strategies. This position ensures end-to-end visibility, accountability, and optimization of all housekeeping stock, directly supporting cost efficiency and operational continuity.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Linen & Asset Control

• Manage linen lifecycle: daily counts, par levels, movement, and reconciliation

• Conduct regular linen counts across rooms, F&B, spa, and laundry

• Identify discrepancies, abnormal usage, and potential losses

• Enforce linen control SOPs and preventive measures

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate stock records (linen, uniforms, amenities, equipment)

• Control stock issuance and returns to ensure accountability

• Monitor stock levels and support forecasting and purchasing

• Conduct monthly and spot stock audits

Reporting & Cost Control

• Track usage, losses, and replacement trends

• Prepare variance and control reports

• Support cost optimization initiatives

Coordination & Compliance

• Work closely with Laundry, Housekeeping, F&B, and Stores

• Ensure compliance with hygiene, SOPs, and safety standards

• Train teams on proper linen handling and stock discipline

PROFILE:

• 2–4 years of experience in housekeeping, laundry, or inventory control within a hotel or resort

• Proven exposure to linen control and stock management is essential

• Experience working with inventory systems or manual stock controls

• Diploma or certification in Housekeeping or Hospitality Operations is an advantage

• Strong numerical aptitude with high attention to detail

• Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills

• Analytical mindset with a loss-prevention orientation

• Ability to work independently and manage controls in a high-volume operation
