Cost Controller
Sunlife & Sugar Beach (overview):
Sunlife is a leading hospitality group in the Indian Ocean (45+ years, ~3,000 employees), part of CIEL Group, with five beach resorts in Mauritius and two golf courses (Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club, Anahita Golf Course). Sugar Beach has 238 rooms/suites, two pools, seven restaurants/bars, tea lounge, fitness centre, spa, nightlife.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cost Control Duties

Monitor and control F&B costs and other operational expenses.

Daily spot checks on inventory, stores, receiving procedures.

Verify purchase orders, invoices, and GRNs.

Regular stock counts and reconcile variances.
-
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly cost reports.
-
Analyze cost trends and recommend strategies to improve profitability.

Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.
-
Work closely with F&B, Purchasing, Finance.
Audit Duties
-
Perform night audit procedures for accurate posting of daily transactions.

Reconcile room revenue, F&B revenue, and other outlet revenues.

Verify guest accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Prepare daily revenue and management reports.

Ensure backups and end-of-day procedures.

Maintain security/confidentiality of financial information during night shifts.

Experience in Opera Software.
PROFILE:
-
Proven experience as Cost Controller/Auditor (4–5 star hotel).
-
Strong knowledge of F&B cost control + hotel accounting procedures.
-
Experience with hotel PMS + accounting systems.
-
Strong analytical/numerical skills; high accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong organization/time management; ability to work independently during night shifts.

MS Excel + financial reporting proficiency.
-
Relevant qualification in Accounting/Finance/Hospitality Management preferred.
