Chef de Cuisine - Long Beach
We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual who will be responsible for overseeing the overall kitchen operations and ensuring the quality, consistency, and efficiency of food production.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop creative and seasonal menus, ensuring alignment with the restaurant's concept and
standards. - Regularly update the menu based on customer preferences, seasonal ingredients, and new culinary trends.
- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Coordinate and supervise kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and other kitchen personnel.
- Manage inventory, including ordering ingredients, maintaining stock levels, and reducing food waste.
- Monitor food costs and work to maximize profitability while maintaining food quality.
- Plan budgets, manage expenses, and ensure cost control measures are in place.
- Engage with customers to understand their preferences and receive feedback on the food.
- Adjust dishes or menus based on guest feedback and preferences.
- Ensure the quality, presentation, and taste of all dishes meet high standards.
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with local health regulations.
PROFILE
- Diploma or degree in culinary arts or a related field.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in professional kitchens.
- Proven track record as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
- Exhibit strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Infuse creativity by crafting innovative dishes that excite the palate.
- Stay ahead of culinary trends to keep the menu fresh and appealing.
