Chef de Cuisine - Long Beach

We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual who will be responsible for overseeing the overall kitchen operations and ensuring the quality, consistency, and efficiency of food production.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop creative and seasonal menus, ensuring alignment with the restaurant's concept and
    standards.
  • Regularly update the menu based on customer preferences, seasonal ingredients, and new culinary trends.
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Coordinate and supervise kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and other kitchen personnel.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering ingredients, maintaining stock levels, and reducing food waste.
  • Monitor food costs and work to maximize profitability while maintaining food quality.
  • Plan budgets, manage expenses, and ensure cost control measures are in place.
  • Engage with customers to understand their preferences and receive feedback on the food.
  • Adjust dishes or menus based on guest feedback and preferences.
  • Ensure the quality, presentation, and taste of all dishes meet high standards.
  • Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with local health regulations.

PROFILE

  • Diploma or degree in culinary arts or a related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in professional kitchens.
  • Proven track record as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Infuse creativity by crafting innovative dishes that excite the palate.
  • Stay ahead of culinary trends to keep the menu fresh and appealing.
