Assistant Pastry Chef
Ile aux Cerfs, a chic and wild island and golf club, is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Assistant Pastry Chef to join its culinary team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, prepare, and oversee bakery and pastry production.
- Develop innovative recipes and design seasonal pastry menus.
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all pastry items.
- Manage inventory, control costs, and ensure optimal use of ingredients.
- Train, supervise, and motivate the pastry team.
- Uphold hygiene and food safety standards in line with regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor trends and introduce creative pastry concepts to enhance guest experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Holder of a School Certificate or equivalent.
- Holder of a Diploma in Pastry Preparation or equivalent from a recognised Hotel or Culinary School will be an advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ proven experience in a senior pastry role.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and modern dessert trends.
- Creativity in recipe development, presentation, and menu design.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Flexible, motivated, and able to thrive in a high-pressure environment
