Pastry Chef
We are looking for a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating high-quality pastries and desserts, with strong leadership skills and a commitment to excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all pastry operations within the hotel, ensuring exceptional quality, presentation, and taste in every creation.
- Lead, train, and inspire the pastry brigade, fostering a positive, collaborative environment that encourages growth and creativity.
- Collaborate closely with the culinary team, hotel management, and guests to craft extraordinary dessert experiences.
- Maintain world-class standards in both creativity and execution, consistently exceeding guest expectations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health & safety regulations, maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen at all times.
PROFILE:
- Holder of a Diploma in Pastry Preparation or equivalent from a recognized Hotel or Culinary School (preferred).
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within the hotel or fine dining industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- Proven experience in managing food costs, including product stock and equipment, while maintaining high culinary standards.
- Creative flair, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for pastry arts.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and kitchen management.
