We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join as Butcher at La Pirogue. He/ She should have a strong understanding of meat, poultry, seafood and fish products, commitment in delivering exceptional customer service.


  • Skilfully cut, trim, and prepare various cuts according to customer preferences and orders.
  • Ensure proper portion control and maintain consistent product quality.
  • Monitor and manage products inventory levels.
  • Notify management when restocking is needed and assist with inventory control procedures.
  • Operate and maintain butchery equipment, including knives, grinders, slicers, and saws.
  • Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and in good working condition.
  • Inspect incoming products deliveries for freshness, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Rotate stock to ensure older products are used first.
  • Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.
  • Properly handle and dispose of waste, including packaging materials.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including temperature control and proper storage


  • Proven experience as a Butcher or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of various cuts, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands of the job.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
